Leuven’s roots stretch back to Roman times, but it truly began to thrive in the Middle Ages as a hub for trade and education. The University of Leuven, founded in 1425, remains one of Europe’s oldest and most respected universities.
What makes Leuven so special is how its past blends with the modern city vibe.
